An Introduction to Kart Racing
Kart racing or karting is a variant of open-wheel motorsport with small, open, 4-wheeled vehicles called karts, go-karts, or gearbox/shifter karts depending on the design. They are usually raced on scaled-down circuits. Karting is commonly perceived as the stepping stone to the higher ranks of motorsports. Karts vary widely in speed and the Briggs L206 Powered Junior Light Class we race in the TRAK series can reach speeds in excess of 105 kph (compared to rental karts which are generally limited to 25 kph.).
Welcome to the exciting world of grassroots motorsports, Kart Racing.
Kart Racing has been the training ground of all the great names in racing;
Ayrton Senna, Lewis Hamilton, Michael Schumacher, Paul Tracy and more.
In 2014 Team FMR was on the podium at every single race with a total of 17 First Place finishes, 8 Second Place finishes, and 3 Third Place finishes with our prolific Team Captain taking both the Sunday CRKC Championship and overall series title. FMR drivers placed 4th, 8th, and 17th in their first year in the highly competitive TRAK series in 2015. And in 2016, Team FMR again was represented on the podium in every single race we entered with 42 First Place finishes, 38 Second Place finishes, and 11 Third Place finishes. The Benefits of Sponsorship
FMR is not a charity, but a business focused on developing future athletes and racing champions. Part of being a champion is giving back to the community and those who support you as you struggle for success. Team FMR is committed to providing our sponsors with a return on their investments, and we offer product endorsements, personal appearances, team involvement, social media exposure, and brand exposure through every channel available to us. For example, a branded kart trailer word be exposed to aproxiately 5,292* commuters every race weekend traveling to and from Goodwood alone. Custom branding on the driver or kart is exposed on a regular basis to high-income, brand loyal families and fans that reward the sponsors who support their sport of choice. We realize the importance of supporting sponsors through many different methods and are always willing to discuss various ways that we can make this relationship even more beneficial to you. At the heart of modern marketing is the need to create a heart/mind connection between products and their spokesman. By using the emotional power of young personalities, and an exciting and daring sport, a sponsor will create a strong tie between his brand and the consumer fans. What is more “emotional” than supporting young kids’ dreams, and helping them achieve them?

Fast Myles Racing is not a business, nor are we looking to make a profit. we are simply trying to learn the business side of racing, while we offset costs of competing and work toward owning our own competitive racing karts in the next two years.
Some costs we are looking to recuperate are membership fees, entry fees, transportation costs, training time, rentals, food, equipment replacement and upgrades, the year-end gala and reinvesting for the following year.
