LOGAN PLODER (Team Captain)

My name is Chad Webster and I am an avid and talented kart racer. I am currently 17 years old. I have successfully completed 7 years of competitive racing.

I began my karting career at Goodwood Kartways while participating in the Arrive and Drive Program also known as the CRKC (Canadian Rookie Karting Championship). I earned the title of the Overall CRKC Youth Champion in both 2012 and 2013 respectively.

In 2014 and 2015, I moved up the ranks to compete in TRAK (Toronto Racing Association of Karters). I drove in an Intrepid Brand chassis powered by a BRP Rotax 2 stroke 125 CC engine. I competed in a class defined as Rotax Mini-Max in Club level races as well as high profile events such as the CRFKC (Champion Ron Fellowes Karting Challenge) and the ECKC (Eastern Canadian Karting Championship). These events showcased talented drivers from Ontario, Quebec, as well as the USA.

In 2016, I drove in two separate classes at the Club level and CRFKC; Rotax Junior and Briggs Junior (4 stroke Briggs and Stratton motor). This was a transition year for me. Competition was much greater as well as driving a new kart and motor combination. At the seasons’ yearend banquet, I was bestowed the honour of the Youth Most Sportsman-like Driver for 2016.

In 2017, I focused on competing in the Briggs and Stratton Junior class. I competed in Club level races, CRFKC, ECKC and the ASN Canadian National Championships held at Mosport Kartways in August 2017.
In 2018, I moved up to the Briggs and Stratton Senior class. This brought new and exciting challenges. It was quite the learning experience. Going head to head with Ontario’s finest. I was only about to secure two podium positions.
In 2019, I’m fortune enough to work with my friend and fellow FMR team member – Logan Ploder. We work very well together. Wish me and my teammates a successful 2019 karting season.
On a personal note, I live in Holland Landing with my dad Ross. Rooting me from just outside of Ottawa is my mom Tracy and step-dad Bruce. A very special thanks to my Uncle Trevor. He has been very instrumental in supporting my passion for karting. He is the team owner of Reeve Webster Racing, wrencher and my emotional support.
In my spare time, I enjoy long distance running, playing video games and hanging out with my friends.
